Which equipment can be monitored with BTSAM system?

Any type of equipments, regardless of the type, brand and age of the vehicle.
Here are some examples:

  • cars
  • trucks
  • excavators
  • sidebooms
  • paywelder
  • cranes
  • street cleaning
  • snowplows
  • etc.

Could be managed other types of equipment (eg . current generators)?

It is possible to manage any type of equipment, power generators too.

Is It possible to monitor the operation of the equipment as a function of workspaces?

Yes, through the geofence management, you can monitor the parameters of the equipment according to defined areas.

What type of interfaces has the BT1?

The BT1 device has:

  • 2 channels CANBUS
  • 1 channel RS232
  • 4 Digital Inputs
  • Analog input 1
  • 2 relay outputs
  • Interfaces with the BT2 , I / O expansion
  • Interfaces with the BT3 , card reader NFC

What type of interfaces has the BT2?

The BT2 device has:

  • 8 Digital Inputs
  • 8 analog input
  • 4 relay outputs

Which parameters of the equipment can be monitored?

The system is multi-Protocol, can natively monitor the SAE J1939 ( Engine ) , as well as others custom protocols already encoded.
Each manufacturer’s proprietary protocol, can be handled upon request.

Is it possible to control equipment without J1939 CANBUS?

Using the BT2 device, through its inputs (8 Digital , Analog 8 ), you can place up to 16 sensors for any type of measure .

here are some examples of measurements by sensors:

  • Engine Coolant Temperature
  • Transmission Temperature
  • Engine Oil Pressure
  • Booster Pressure
  • Engine Oil Temperature
  • Service Oil Pressure
  • Air filter Clogging / Depression
  • Winches Pressure
  • Fluid  Level
  • Hydraulic oil filter Clogging

Waht is FRAME RATE for monitored data?

The data are monitored with a frequency of 250 ms.
Can be sampled with a frequency of up to 6 seconds until a minimum frequency of one sample per day.
This features is fully configurable and can manage even the most extreme case studies.

How often data is sent to the portal http://www.btassetmanager.com/ ?

Sending data does not necessarily have to follow the sampling frequency.
While sending can change from a maximum frequency of an item every 6 sec, up to a minimum of one day sending.

In which countries is coverage the gprs service?

Europe, America and Canada.

Is It possible to use local SIM in foreign countries?

The customer can use local SIM in foreign countries in order to optimize the sending and costs.

Is It possible to use theBTSAM system as antitheft?

BT1 has an accelerometer on board and the Motion Detection feature that compared to a state of the engine switched off can send an alert ( email / SMS) as possible thefts.

Is It possible to use the system BTSAM for the only  fleet car management?

Yes, you can only use the information from the GPS receiver.

Do you need to install software to monitor data?

The BTSAM system is based on a completely web portal , so no need to install any software , simply connect to the site http://www.btassetmanager.com/.

Is It possible to obtain charts with the trend of the parameters of the equipment over time?

Sure , you can get dynamic graphs , several variables simultaneously.

How many users can access the portal ?

Every company can manage their own users independently.

Which permissions can be set on users?

It’s possible to set user permissions on

  • data environment
  • company
  • projects
  • sensors

Which type of alarms can I get?

Is possible to set alarms on every type of sensor / parameter being monitored, even composing cross-checks, in order to generate email or SMS configurable for each type of alarm.

Is It possible to manage the whole cycle maintenance of the vehicle/equipment?

Yes, in BTSAM system there is a module dedicated to the maintenance.

The module is interfaced to data directly collected from the vehicle/equipment, in order to manage a ordinary and extraordinary maintenance , preventive and predictive.

Is It possible to manage the BTSAM system also for the vehicle/equipment that have not installed the BT1/BT2 devices?

Yes, the portal http://www.btassetmanager.com is a vehicles/equipment Fleet Manager. You can insert and manage also the vehicles/equipment that have not installed BT1/BT2, in order to use the basic modules

  • reporting
  • maintenance
